Words of Wisdom to Prep for the Upcoming Season: "Early is On Time."
Congratulations, Coach Sottolano! - Jan 27, 2020
This is Coach Sottolano’s 7th year of coaching... and his 4th at Lakeland Regional High School.
He began coaching with the New Jersey Jetties (Cedar Grove, NJ) right out of college. Coach Sottolano gained a lot of experience coaching for the Trilogy Empire high school program, and currently spends his offseason & summers as a head coach for BBL North.
Coach Sottolano’s playing career began at Northern Highlands Regional High School from 2004-2008. He went on to play club lacrosse at Roanoke College from 2008-2011. He continues to be engaged in Men’s box lacrosse at a local indoor facility & feels it’s important to oremain connected to the game, especially during the offseason.
His philosophy focuses on teaching his players how to become better athletes and people (not only on the field, but off the field as well). He believes the fundamentals of the game are the key to success, and also focuses on teaching his players to “see” the field. He believes that hard work and SHOWING dedication to the team and sport will be noticed and will pay off.
Besides coaching, Coach Sottolano also works at Lakeland Regional High School as a Special Education Aide & looks forward to being able to see all the Lakeland Lacrosse players in the hallways and connect with his team during the school day.
