Vaqueros Join Gauchos For 2015-16

Santa Barbara, CA - SBCC students who would like to play lacrosse during the 2015-16 academic year are invited to practice with UCSB. During the non-traditional fall season Vaqueros and Gauchos will blend and SBCC students may fully participate. In the regular spring season when WCLA and WWLL eligiblity rules apply SBCC students may be redshirts in the UCSB program.

The option to continue to participate in the spring as a redshirt is available to SBCC students who are registered in the SBCC Transfer Academy and are applying to transfer to UCSB. Players who are redshirts may practice with UCSB during the spring but can't play in games.

SBCC will not join the WWLL or the WCLA for the 2016 season. A separate SBCC women's lacrosse club will be re-established in the future. To join the UCSB program as a redshirt please fill out the UCSB Women's Lacrosse Recruit Form or contact head coach Paul Ramsey.
