The Force teams are first-time offerings by East West Sports Camps, a company run by UCSB head coach Paul Ramsey. The club has one-time tournament commitment teams for the time being and, for the most part, is focusing on tournaments clubs don't normally attend. This includes the International Friendship Games in Japan with a trip taking place June 15 - 29, 2010. "I'm pleased with the response for our first-time offering with this club team," says Force director Ramsey. "We're going to put a team in both events and start to make a name for ourselves." Girl's lacrosse players from California, Oregon and Washington and those who intend to attend a college or university in California, Oregon or Washington are eligible to play for West Coast Force. The club does not have the 50 mile radius restriction that clubs under the umbrella of NCAA institution coaching staffs face. The Force coaching staff is from UCSB where Ramsey is the head coach and Jillian Boyd is the assistant coach. UCSB is a USL WDIA program that exclusively uses full-time UCSB students on it's teams but the WDIA doesn't use all of the NCAA rules so players on the UCSB coach run club may come from outside a 50 mile radius around UCSB. "We're going to do a lot with this West Coast Force club," added Ramsey. Register for either one of the teams using one of the following links.
