Successful Senior Night! - Mar 13, 2014
Aggies A pulled out a 13-12 OT win against Chico this Saturday! Tied 6-6 at half time, the Aggies and Wildcats were neck and neck, going back and forth with goals. Freshman Allison O'Donnell was the All-Star of the game, scoring the game-tying and game-winning goals! It was a great home opener/closer!
Winning Weekend for Ags - Mar 3, 2014
It was a great weekend to be an Ag this weekend! A Team battled it out with Cal Berkeley to get a 11-10 win, and in their first home game of the season, Aggies B had an impressive 17-4 win against Sierra Nevada College.
Starting with a 3-0 lead, A Team had a constant back and forth with Cal, ending tied 6-6 at half time. With 8 different players scoring the 11 total goals and three players leaving the game with an assist, it was a true team effort!
Come out and support A Team in their first (and only!) home game of the season on Saturday, March 8th at noon against Chico on the Dairy Fields!
Game Updates - Feb 24, 2014
The game schedules for both teams have been updated!
In the past month, the Aggies have travelled down to UCLA, UCSB, and Santa Clara University.
In a tough battle against UCLA, Aggies 'A' lost 8-7 in overtime. Freshmen Leah Falsetto and and Lauren Hargis each netted 2 goals, while Freshman Sara Pedlar got three. Goalie Amy Corstorphine had 35 shots with a total of 27 saves in the game.
At Santa Barbara Shootout, Aggies 'A' played against Arizona, Washington, and CSU. The Aggies were up 8-4 against Arizona at halftime but got outscored 3-5 in the second half. Luckily there had been enough of a buffer from the first half that the Aggies pulled off an 11-9 win! Junior Chloe Hull had 4 goals, while Freshmen Sara Pedlar, Leah Falsetto, and Allison O'Donnell each got one. Senior Ming Richie got her first career goal that game as well! The same day, the Aggies faced Washington. The high-scoring game resulted in Sophomore Shannon Hambro with 5 goals, Chloe Hull with 4, Leah Falsetto and Sara Pedlar both with hat tricks, Junior Serena Marini with her first two goals of the season, as well as Freshman Ellie Dierking with her first goal of the season. The high scoring game ended with an Aggie victory 18-17. The last day of SB Shootout had the Aggies facing off with CSU - for the first time since the National Championship game in 2012. Unfortunately CSU was victorious, with a 17-6 win over the Aggies. Sophomore Juliana Stein-Webber did get her first goal during the game!
The following weekend, Aggies 'A' traveled down to Santa Clara. In another tough battle, the Aggies lost 12-5. Upcoming events for the Aggies 'A' team are next weekend a game at Cal, and the following weekend the only home game of the year against Chico!
Aggies 'B' have also had some recent games. B Team also traveled down to UCLA and had a similarly tough game, losing 15-12. Superstar Freshman goalie Casey Chew had a total of 18 saves out of 33 shots, and Courtney Jimenez and Erin Lucore both got hat tricks! Rachel Fetterman also scored two goals, and Miri Miller netted four.
Aggies 'B' also headed down to SB Shootout to play UCLA once again, in addition to Cal Poly and UCSB. In the UCLA game, Courtney Jimenez and Erin Lucore once again led the team in goals, with each getting three and four goals respectively. Rachel Fetterman, Denise Garcia, Sophie Kraus, Miri Miller, and Lauren Parker all got a goal as well. Unfortunately it just wasn't enough to beat UCLA, with a final score of 22-12. The Aggies unfortuantely lost 12-8 against UCSB, and 23-11 to Cal Poly.
Aggies 'B' also have their only home game of the season coming up this Saturday against Sierra Nevada at 1 pm on the Dairy fields.
