After a storied career as a goalie at lacrosse powerhouse Gilman School in Baltimore, MD, David Gushue enrolled at Claremont McKenna College, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy, politics, and economics in 2022, receiving the best thesis prize in literature. At CMC, he was a consultant for the Center for Writing and Public Discourse. He joined the Cougars for the abbreviated 2020 season, and returned for the 2022 season, during which he was named the co-MVP of the team, achieving a 51.6% saves stat during his 14 games as a Cougar. In addition to returning to Claremont to coach the Cougar goalies, David is a junior business analyst at Tripepi Smith.
