Coach Foster is in his first season with the Claremont Cougars as defensive coordinator. Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, he competed at powerhouse Gilman School during his prep career, where as a junior his varsity team won the MIAA Championship and as a senior he captained the team. Foster had a long tenure with Baltimore-based Crabs club team. As a long stick midfielder, he played 4 years of D1 lacrosse for Dartmouth College before graduating in 2014. In his senior season at Dartmouth, Foster led the team in caused turnovers (18), scooped up 31 groundballs, and started 8-of-12 games. In the same year, he was chosen for the NEILA All-Star Game as well as voted the team’s Most Improved Player. Coach Foster has previously been an assistant coach for Wolfpack Lacrosse, a club team in Baltimore. In addition to coaching this season, Coach Foster is pursuing a Master’s of Science degree at local Keck Graduate Institute, graduating in 2016. He plans on attending medical school following his master's program. His brother, Owen Foster, is a senior attack/middie for the Cougars.
