Team History
 The UCSB women's lacrosse program started in 1987 and players on the teams over the years have enjoyed a rewarding time ever since. UCSB Women's Lacrosse has a rich tradition and our alumni are a big part of our
history. One event which shows the value of the program is the annual UCSB Lacrosse Alumni Weekend held the second weekend of November every year. Activities
start with men's and women's lacrosse alumni getting together at
Joe's Cafe on Friday night. It continues with friends getting breakfast
together on Saturday morning. Then Saturday afternoon a game
is played between alumni and current players.
Support for the program was
also shown in a number of ways. $1,125 was raised in one day in 2008 with support from alumni. Catherine Green ('89) earned the
distinction of being the first alum from the 80's to come back for Alumni Weekend in a long time. Leah
Fleischmann ('05) and Katie Wolfson ('06) were the unofficial long
distance award winners. Leah flew in from Massachusetts and Katie flew
in from Maryland to make it for the weekend. The next UCSB
Lacrosse Alumni Weekend will be November 13 - 15, 2009, held during
it's traditional date on the second weekend in November.

 2007 Alumni Weekend Participants
Twenty-one alumni returned to play in the game and another two alumni
were spectators for one of the larger turn-outs in recent history. The
UCSB team won the game 19-6. The following alumni came out for the action on the field and the off-field fun: Megan

Swanson (’00), Jaime Tracy (’03), Jody Weisenhorn (’07) and Katie
