Sixth Annual Santa Barbara Fall Brawl Soars

Sixth Annual Fall BrawlSanta Barbara, CA - The first day of the Sixth Annual Santa Barbara Fall Brawl started with play at the Santa Barbara Polo Club. It is the first lacrosse tournament in the history of the venue. Eighteen of the forty-two teams in the tournament played on opening day. The remaining twenty-four teams start their schedule on Sunday in two locations. The U-13, U-15 and U-17 divisions will continue play at the Polo Club while the two college divisions play at UCSB.

The UCSB Blue team played a single and won 7-2 over a team of Whittier students calling themselves Lax or Dye for this tournament. UCSB Blue will play three more games on Sunday. UCSB White took on the top teams from Concordia University and UNLV, falling to both teams but getting valuable experience in the first outing for twelve novices. The Gauchos sister program at SBCC won both their contests, bettering Concordia 8-6 and Cal State San Marcos 8-7.  

In the Under-17 Division 3D Select and GB Tribe LAX were undefeated. They face each other in their opening game on Sunday at 9:00am at the Polo Club. BearLax went 2-0 in the Under-15 Division with two more games to come on Sunday. In the Under-13 Division El Dorado Hills won three games and will play Jr Trojan Select on Sunday morning.

Play for all divisions continues on Sunday at 9:00am in both locations and continues through 4:00pm games.
