SBCC Drops Marymount 17-2 In Season FinaleApr. 24, 2010 Palos Verdes, CA - The SBCC women's lacrosse club took to the road for their last game of the season looking to improve their overall record and claim a winning season. The Vaqueros were successful with a 17-2 win over Marymount College and improved to 6-4.The game was never close as SBCC sprinted out to a 9-1 lead in the first half. Then SBCC won the second half 8-1 for the final score. SBCC wrapped up a season as an Associate Member in the Western Women's Lacrosse League and completed their season schedule. As an Associate Member the Vaqueros were not eligible for play-offs or invididual post-season awards. SBCC looks to become a Full Member of the WWLL for 2010-11. One of the requirements to qualify for full membership is a team showing it can complete a schedule. SBCC has done that. Now, aiming for a play-off spot in 2011 is one of the goals of the Vaquero program.
