SBCC Opens Santa Barbara Shootout With a Win

Santa Barbara, CA - The SBCC women's lacrosse club opened play at the 22nd Annual Santa Barbara Shootout Sponsored by Brine with a game against UC San Diego 'B'. The Vaqueros opened play at the Shootout just 14 hours following their history making Friday night game with Marymount College of Palos Verdes. SBCC won the inaugural matchup between two California Community Colleges 17-3 at La Playa Stadium at SBCC. 

Saturday morning at the Shootout on Storke Field at UCSB the Vaqueros beat UCSD 'B' 8-3 after leading 4-2 at halftime. SBCC improved to 2-0 with the win.

SBCC continues play at the Shootout Saturday afternoon with a game against UCLA 'B'. The Bruins second side are regular WWLL D2 play-off participants.
