SBCC Bests Biola After Return From BYE WeekFeb. 25, 2023 La Mirada, CA - The SBCC women's lacrosse club traveled to Biola University to play at Al Barbour Field on the Eagles campus and won 22-1 after leading 13-1 at halftime. The Vaqueros were coming off a BYE week in which they did not compete but it did not slow down SBCC until they slowed it down and stopped shooting. The Eagles and the Vaqueros braved the elements to get this game in with off and on rain and 47 degree temperature that added some variety for everyone. Eleven SBCC players contributed to the offense and twelve goals were assisted. Freshman Kiara Kofoed (Orinda, CA) led all scorers with 3 goals and 3 assists. Sophomore goalie Tatum Davis (Redondo, CA) had four saves with only one goal allowed. SBCC improved to 5-0 overall with the win and 2-0 in WWLL Central D2. Biola drops to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in WWLL Central D2. The Vaqueros are in action again right away on Sunday when they play Fullerton CC in a 1:30pm game. This contest is being hosted by Biola to get the game in on turf amid all the California winter storming. SBCC is in the middle of a four game away series that started on February 11th with their win at Cal State Fullerton and concludes with a March 4th game at Cal Poly SLO.
