West Coast Force Teams Go 4-0-1 On Second Day In Japan

At Nagoya Shonai FieldNagoya, Japan - Playing on the second game day of their tour of Japan the two West Coast Force teams combined for 4 wins, 0 losses and 1 tie. The Force men were 3-0 on the day while the Force women were 1-0-1. The two teams are a combined 5-1-1 on their tour and now have some time off the lacrosse field to hike the foothills of Mt. Fuji and enjoy the Gotemba Hot Springs area before heading to Tokyo.

The Force women were up by a goal at halftime against the Tokai Under-20 team in the first game at Shonai Field. The second half was also a 1 goal advantage for a final 7-5 victory. Next the Force faced a fresh Nagoya University team and were down 3-5 at halftime and 5-7 with less than 5 minutes remaining in the game before rallying to tie it 7-7 with less than a minute in the game. A Force save in the closing seconds preserved the tie. Because of the double header situation all teams had agreed on no overtimes for these particular contests.

The Foce men played on Tsurumai Field at another location in Nagoya and won all three to run their record on the trip to 4-0. Tokai Under-20 fell 16-5 in the only full length game on the day. Then in shortened games the Force beat Gifu University 8-0 and Chubu Universityy 6-2.
