UCSB Wins Five At Fifth Annual Santa Barbara Fall Brawl
Oct. 22, 2012  Santa Barbara, CA - UCSB women's lacrosse put two teams in the Fifth Annual Santa Barbara Fall Brawl Sponsored by Brine. The Gauchos combined to win five out of six games. The UCSB Blue team was 3-0 with successes over the Tigers, the Bulldogs and UCLA. The Tigers and Bulldogs were the players from the NCAA DIII teams from Occidental College and University of Redlands, respectively. They entered on their own and came up to the tournament as clubs since the schools don't run a fall season for their lacrosse programs. The UCSB White team was 2-1 with wins over Sonoma State and UCLA White after falling to UNLV in the morning.
SBCC also played in the Fall Brawl and went 3-0 with convincing wins over Sonoma State, UCLA White and UC Irvine. The Vaqueros outscored their opponents 41-7 and the closest scrimmage was a 14-4 win over Sonoma.
UCSB is next in action at the Hawaii Lacrosse Tournament on Oahu. They open tournament action with Hokkaido University of Japan at 2:00pm (HST) on Friday.
