UCSB Fall Ball Schedule Finalized

Santa Barbara, CA - The fall ball schedule for the Gauchos has been finalized. It will send the UCSB Fall Ball Squad to two tournaments, have them hosting two tournaments, hosting a scrimmage with the WDIA team from University of Oregon and hosting their annual Alumni Game.

All but one of the tournaments have a championship format. The  Gauchos will split into three teams for the CABoom 7 v. 7 Tournament in Orange County on October 9th but each team will aim for getting to the championship game and winning it. The Hawaii Tournament October 30th - 31st is a two day bracket format event with an annual showing of 12 to 16 clubs made up of Japanese University teams and post-collegiate teams with former NCAA players. This tournament is a full field regular rules event and the Gauchos are targeting that championship as well. The Fall Ball Squad will be divided into even smaller teams for the UCSB 3 v. 3 Tournament November 7th but each team will compete through pool play and cross-over brackets striving to reach the championship and win it. The Santa Barbara Fall Brawl at UCSB October 17th is the only tournament on the schedule without a championship. It is a set schedule event with the possibility of multiple teams finishing undefeated if the teams that win all their games weren't pre-scheduled to play each other.

"Our Fall Ball is going to be all about competing while enjoying competing with and against each other," says UCSB head coach Paul Ramsey.

"We are looking for players who never take a break on the field and always compete for every ball and every advantage they can make for themselves and their teammates" Ramsey continued.

"If we don't have that we are going to create it."
