Jacksonville 10, Embry Riddle 9

The Jacksonville Lacrosse Club defeated the Embry Riddle Eagles 10-9 in a Florida Lacrosse League matchup in Daytona Beach, FL.  Jacksonville took a 4-2 first quarter lead before giving up three unanswered goals in the second period, trailing by 5-4 at the half.  Riddle hung tough in the 3rd quarter, taking a 8-6 lead at the end of the period.  Goalie Alex Tureman was solid in the net, making a number of huge saves down the stretch and keeping Jax in the game. Jacksonville stormed back in the fourth, twice tying the game, including a goal by Nick Williams from Danny Toole to tie at 9-9.  Jacksonville took advantage of a timeout, mounting the final attack with about 35 seconds remaining.   Matt Carey rolled through four Eagles defenders, scoring the game winner unassisted with 17 seconds left.  And the crowd went wild.
