2008-2009 Jacksonville Predators - Organizational Message

We are now setting up the roster for the upcoming season.  I need all new and returning players to fill out the Player Info Form on the website before the team meeting.  

Info for the 2008-2009 Season

Dues:  will be $150 for the season, half must be paid before the first game. Please bring a check made out to Jacksonville Lacrosse or mail it to 6413 Autumn Berry Circle Jacksonville, FL 32258. 

Team Gear:  Pat from Jax Lax will be putting together a gear order form for team gear including pinneys and shorts, under armor shirts, team bags, game shorts, helmets, etc.  Gear must be ordered and paid in advance to get team prices - we will get the order form out in the next couple weeks and will look to make the order in mid-September. 

Uniforms:  We have ordered orange jerseys for new guys – jerseys will be issued when dues are paid.  Game shorts can be purchased at the Jax Lax store and through the gear order form.  Depending on the budget we may order white jerseys later in the season for guys that don't have them, until then we will wear orange for most games.

Florida Lacrosse League Schedule:  The league meeting is scheduled for the weekend of 9/20 - based on last season, our FLL schedule will be 10 regular season games plus playoffs.  We will likely have 2 home games and 8 away games.  Four of the 8 away games will be played on Sat / Sun at two Crossover Weekend trips at TBD locations - there is a league party on the Saturday night during each crossover and they are a blast.  The FLL season will start in late September and playoffs will be in March. 

Non-FLL Schedule:  to round out the schedule we will play home and away scrimmages against teams from the North Florida  / Georgia area - last year we played JU, UNF, Orlando, CELC (savannah), GA Southern, SCAD, Charleston LC, The Citadel.  We will also plan a round-robin tourney at home.
