Membership and RegistrationThe Purpose of the Pickerington Lacrosse Association shall be to:
- Provide a safe atmosphere in which students may learn, practice and competitively play the game of lacrosse. PLA shall carry on for the purpose and intent to qualify as a IRS 503(c)(3) not for profit corporation or any corresponding section(s) of any future tax code
- Organize, support and promote the Lacrosse Teams and the sport of Lacrosse as a Program for the benefit of the students and athletes of the Pickerington Local School District (PLSD);
- Provide monetary means for the operation of a Lacrosse Program through dues, fundraising events, donations, and by any other means as deemed necessary and appropriate in accordance with the mission of the organization. Provide financial support for essential and non-essential expenses such as, but not limited to, team equipment, uniforms, officiating costs, field costs, coaching stipends, and expenses, and any other associated expenses;
- Hire coaching staff in accordance with PLSD guidelines for the Lacrosse Program and organize volunteers to assist the program in all aspects of operations. Furthermore, PLA shall aspire to develop teamwork, leadership abilities, promote good sportsmanship and citizenship in our students/athletes and develop community relations.
NO player will be permitted to participate in conditioning after January 3rd UNLESS THEY ARE REGISTERED.
We do not need to have your full payment when you register, we just need to have the signed registration form and proof of a currrent US Lacrosse membership. Full payment by check or money order is due by March 1, 2013.
This year all players are required to be US Lacrosse members in order to play or particpate in conditioning. If the player is not already a current US Lacrosse member, you can obtain a membership at www.uslacrosse.org. The cost for US lacrosse membership is $35/year. The membership has a lot of benefits for the players including a monthly magazine. Make sure you link your membership to the Pickerington Lacrosse Association (PLA) ant NOT PYAA.
IF your player needs equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, Goalie Equipment), you must include a $50.00 deposit with your registration form by January 2, 2013.

Returned Check Fee: There will be a $30 returned check fee for any insufficiently funded check.
