Bulldogs split the weekendMar. 2, 2013 MSU traveled to Chattanooga this weekend and nearly went 2-0. The Dogs opened play against UT-Chat, where they lost a fourth quarter lead in the last few minutes with a final score of 8-7. Sophomore Attack Ben Bradley led the way for MSU, racking up 4 goals and adding two assists. Also scoring for the Bulldogs this weekend were Mason Laughridge (1g, 1a), Blake Morgan (1g), Reese Oppenheimer (2a), Brandon Owens (1g, 1a), and Nick Zajkowski (1a). In the second matchup, the Dogs played Tenn. Tech. After being down 4-6 at halftime, the Bulldogs outscored the Eagles 6-1 in the second half to earn the win. Brandon Owens led the comeback for the Dogs with 5 goals and two assists. Also scoring were Ben Bradley (2g), Alex White (1g), Reese Oppenheimer (2g, 1a), Nick Zajkowski (1a), and Mason Laughridge (1a). The Dogs are ready to face both teams again in April at the DSC Tournament.
