Dogs lose a tough oneFeb. 11, 2012 With a start time temperature of only 31 degrees, MTSU hosted the MSU Bulldogs this past Saturday. MTSU pulled out the victory, beating MSU by a score of 13-9. An NCAA Denison transfer led the way for MTSU with seven goals and kept the Bulldogs on their heels all day. MTSU jumped out to an early lead in the first, only to see MSU storm back in the second quarter. The third belonged to MTSU, as they again found the back of the net for several scores. The fourth quarter saw both teams trading scores, and the bulldogs falling short. Sophomore Attack Ben Hester led the way for MSU, scoring four goals and adding two assists. Midfielder Wes Peery scored two goals, as did Attack Ben Bradley, and Midfielder Dan Hester notched one goal. Both teams look forward to another potential meeting in the conference tournament.
