Pacific Lacrosse Festival Success For Mission Lacrosse ClubJun. 28, 2015 San Diego, CA - Mission Lacrosse Club played in their second tournament of the summer and overcame a slow start against Utah Mamaci Red to run the table the rest of the way and win the High School C Division at the Pacific Lacrosse Festival. Mission LAX dropped a close one to Utah in an 8-9 decision in the morning game on Friday. It was a slow start for the club from Santa Barbara and they were down 3-5 at halftime before outscoring Utah 5-4 in the second half. Then Mission were helped by a West Coast Starz upset of Utah Mamaci that ultimately created a three-way tie for first among these same three teams. Mission had bested Starz 13-2 in the second game of the day Friday and then Starz beat the Mamaci 6-5 at the end of the day. Mission LAX topped the division by virtue of fewer goals allowed all tournament, outscoring opponents 60-12 in five games. Friday Results: Saturday Results: Pacific Lacrosse Festival Complete High School Girls Standings For A, B & C Divisions Mission LAX plays with a range of players entering 7th - 12th grades and is a first year club. Graduation years represented are 2016 - 2021. The next tournament for Mission LAX is Summer Storm in Oceanside, California. The club will play in the 2016 Open Division.
