Lacrosse was introduced on the campus of the University of Tennessee in the late 1970s.  The UT Men’s Lacrosse Club has had many successful years since the introduction of the sport.  The Men's Lacrosse Club was founded in 1974 at the University of Tennessee. The club works to provide students with the opportunity to participate in and enjoy a meaningful and competitive program in the sport of lacrosse. The club has won four SELC Championships and made three appearances in the national tournament since 1993.

We are members of the MCLA (Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association), which is a national organization of non-NCAA, college lacrosse teams. There are fifteen other universities in our conference, the SELC, which include schools like Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Virgina Tech, and Florida St. Our team travels and plays universities from other conferences as well. Last year, our team had the privilege and pleasure to travel to campuses such as Miami Ohio and Auburn University as well as traveling to Tallahassee in early April.

In the spring of 2008, the University of Tennessee Men’s Lacrosse Club played a great season. We were unfortunate to lose many talented players. However, the current players are looking forward to another successful season in 2009. We are excited to be traveling to Florida State, Georgia and many other campuses.

The 2008-2009 team is currently looking for new recruits and sponsorships. If you have any questions regarding either, please email us with any inquiries at volslax@utk.edu. Otherwise, we ask for your support in cheering on our UT Vols Lacrosse Club to victory!
