Alumni Weekend and Festivities

Tennessee Lacrosse would like to inform it's alumni about the first Annual Nate Tutt Memorial Golf Tournament which will take place Friday, October 19, during our alumni weekend. We invite you to join the team for this golf tournament to honor the memory of Nate, and to help preserve his spirit and legend which is still, and will continue to be, a driving force behind Tennessee's Men's Lacrosse. The proceeds from the tournament will be divided three ways, in equal parts. First and foremost we will be donating a third of the proceeds to the college funds set up fore Nate's two children, Gipsy and Gavin. The second portion will go towards another new tradition we are starting for Tennessee Lacrosse. This will be the first year for the Nate Tutt Most Valuable Player Award, which will be awarded by the coaches to the player who most embodies the spirit of Nate on the field that season. The recipient will receive a credit from the team which will go towards his dues for the next season. Lastly a portion of the proceeds will go towards the team to help us with equipment and apparel for the upcoming season.

Now to the details. The tournament will be a two man best ball tournament at Pine Lakes golf course in Knoxville on Friday, October 19. Registration and lunch will begin at 11:00 AM with tournament beginning at noon. A hospitality cart will be provided. The entrance fee is $80 per player. Attached is the entrance form, which i ask you to fill out and send back to Addison Musick at amusick1@utk.edu. For the entrance fee we have set up a paypal account, and here is the link set up through our website (http://laxteams.net/volslax/page.html?page=2304). After the tournament we will have our annual alumni game later that evening. That Saturday, October 20, Tennessee plays Alabama in football and we have set up a ticket block of 75 tickets from which you all can purchase. We should have that information soon and will send it out as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you all for what will turn out to be an amazing weekend. If you are unable to participate in this weekend but wish to still make a donation towards our cause, we would greatly appreciate it.

 Lastly, if you are an alumni, we would ask you to please register your e-mail on the websie. The tab is on the left side and it is very easy. Once registered you can stay up-to-date with the happenings of the team and you will be able to purchase football tickets in our lacrosse block section.
