The Tennessee Volunteers have made a living out of coming from behind to win several games this year.

The Wolfpack of NC State came out ready to play and caught the Volunteers off guard at Harkins Field in Tallahassee on Saturday.  NC State held a 4-3 halftime lead and the Volunteers were lucky that the score was that close.  The 3rd quarter did not help as the Wolfpack were able to extend the lead to 8-5 on a 4 goal 3rd quarter.

The Volunteers were determined and had been in this situation before.  Playing without 3 of the teams top 6 midfielders for the weekend the Volunteers had to make a big push in the 4th quarter if they were going to have a chance at pulling out a much needed victory.

Tennessee started the 4th quarter with a determined look in their eye.  Similar to the game against Vannderbilt, Tennessee's defense extended pressure and were able to force much needed turnovers and the offense responded when they needed to.  Tennessee outscored the Wolfpack 5-1 in the 4th quarter to win 10-9.

Point leaders on the day were sophmore Kevin Coll (Ravenwood / Franklin, TN) with 3 G and 1 A and freshman Patrick Stewart (Memphis University School / Memphis, TN) who also contributed 3 G and 1 A.  Chris McDonald (Houston / Memphis, TN) also contributed 2 G and 1 A on the day.  Ground ball leader on the day was Junior Defensemen James Kerley (Nashville, TN) with 4 GB's.  Goalie Jordan Blazer (Libertyville, Il) had 19 saves on 28 shots on goal.

Tennessee moves to 9-3 on the year with the come from behind victory.
