Tennessee combined stifling defense and exceptional ball movement to smother St. Cloud St. 12-1.  St. Cloud St was able to hang around in the first quarter holding the Volunteers to 3 goals on 10 shots while putting in one of there own.  It was all Volunteers from there as Tennessee scored 9 goals on 38 shots to finish the game with a 12-1 final.

The Volunteers offensive leaders were freshman midfielder John Porter (Franklin TN / Franklin) with 4 G and junior attackmen Jack Cleary (Franklin TN / Centennial) with 3 G and 1 A. Freshman midfielder Woody Kidd (Burke VA) and Patrick Stewart A each contributed 2 G with senior Chris White adding a G, and Jr D Louis Aloma and Fr A James McClellan each contributing with A.

Thanks to St. Cloud State for making the trip to Knoxville.
