Tennessee 2-0 in conference with win over Georgia Tech on the road

Bookmark and Share Printer Friendly Feb. 21, 2009

Both teams played a very physical game. Tennessee came out of the gate hot but Georgia Tech found its footing at the start of the second quarter and played a very close game. At the end of day Tennessee was able to pull out a win over a good Georgia Tech team.  The offense moved the ball well and Patrick Stewart (Memphis, TN / MUS) had another strong afternoon with 3 G and 2 A.  Freshman middie Woody Kidd (Burke, VA) contributed 2 G and F Chris McDonald (Memphis, TN / Houston) added 2 G and 1 A.  Jack Cleary (Nashville, TN / Centennial) and Patrick Hudson (Nashville, TN / Centennial) each added a goal a piece on the day.

An overall strong performance by the defensive unit.  Key players have developed during the year and the defensive understanding and execution is beginning to show.
