UCSB Bests ASU To Advance To WWLL Semifinal
Santa Barbara, CA - UCSB outscored Arizona State University 15-12 in a WWLL Quarterfinal game to advance to a semifinal match-up with Cal Poly SLO. The game was tied 7-7 at halftime and the Gauchos won the second half 8-5. The Mustangs were 20-8 winners over University of Arizona. The Gauchos outshot the Sun Devils 24-22 and held a 18-11 advantage on draw controls. Sophomore Lindsay Alex (Santa Ana, CA) had 8 assists while senior Katie Mitchell (Lafaytette, CA) scored 6 goals and had an assist. Junior Blair Evans (Salinas, CA) snared 6 draw controls. Eighth ranked UCSB improved to 13-5 overall while unranked Arizona State dropped to 7-8.
