UCSB Wins Quarterfinal 20-16 Over Arizona
Santa Barbara, CA - UCSB advanced in post-season play by winning their WWLL Championship Tournament quarterfinal game with University of Arizona 20-16. Freshman Lindsay Alex (Tustin, CA) set a school record with 9 assists and junior Katie Mitchell (Lafayette, CA) scored 8 goals. Eight different Gauchos scored a goal. UCSB scored 7 unanswered goals to break the game open and lead 16-7 with 25 minutes remaining. The Gauchos led 20-10 at one point in the game before the Wildcats mounted a rally as time wound down. The Gauchos face UC Davis in the afternoon WWLL semifinal at 2:30pm in UCSB Harder Stadium.
