UCSB B-Side Advances to Championship Game

Santa Barbara, CA - The UCSB 'B' Team beat USC 'B' 18-9 in a WWLL B Division semifinal after leading 11-6 at halftime.  The Gauchos, host and #1 seed by virtue of finishing in first place during the regular season, held the Trojans scoreless during the first 20 minutes of the second half and led by as many as 11 goals. 

Cal Poly SLO 'B' won the other semifinal with a 21-13 win over UC Davis 'B' so it will be the Gauchos taking on Cal Poly SLO 'B' in the championship game at 12 Noon on Sunday. The third place game will be at 10:00am and feature USC 'B' and UC Davis 'B'.  Both games are on the Rob Gym Field turf next to the RecCen.

The WWLL Awards Ceremony was held at halftime of the 5th place game between UCLA 'B' and UC San Diego 'B'. Befitting a first place team, UCSB had the most players selected to the All-League team and swept the individual honor awards. Five Gauchos were named All-League, Jillian Boyd was named Coach of the Year and Sarah Eadie was named WWLL B Division MVP.
