Poetic Justice, Lil Piggies and Foothill Take Crowns at UCSB 3 v 3 Tournament

3 v 3 Tournament Sideline ActionSanta Barbara, CA - Poetic Justice, Lil Piggies and Foothill won their divisions of the UCSB 3 v 3 Tournament on the Rob Field Turf by the UCSB RecCen today. Poetic Justice,  from Whittier College, won the Women's Division in a 4-3 win over Slacker Attackers, a team made up of UCSB players and friends. Lil Piggies won the Co-Ed Division with a team of UCSB men's and women's lacrosse players.

The mostly dressed in pink attire Lil Piggies team boasted one UCSB men's lacrosse team player in a tutu and brassiere and bested Team Old School 5-4. Old School rostered UCSB head men's lacrosse coach Lane Jaffe, UCSB women's lacrosse assistant coach Jillian Boyd and former Rutgers player Grace Soori (maiden name Park). They gritted through the tournament without any subs and made it to the championship game. 

Foothill High School of Orange County won the unofficial High School Girl's Division championship by placing the highest in the Women's Division. They were 4th overall behind three teams of college players. Dunn School of Santa Ynez was second in the high school division and Jaguars of Valley Center High School in San Diego were 3rd.

The next UCSB 3 v 3 Tournament is Sunday, November , 2011.  Mark it on your calendars now.
