The Co-Ed Division will feature mostly the same rules for 3 v 3 play as the Women's Division. However, the Co-Ed Division will have a no stick checking rule and a minimum of two women must be on the field at a time. Depending on whether a man is in goal that could lead to an equal number of men and women playing lacrosse together. This is a rarity in the United States but common in European countries in a version of the game played there called Inter Lacrosse and, sometimes, Soft Lacrosse. Typically in the co-ed version strategy quickly turns to an emphasis on getting the ball to a shooter in front of the goal with ball movement and cutting. This leads to a quick passing and finesse game, even for the men.

The Gauchos are just back from playing in the Hawaii Lacrosse Tournament over Halloween Weekend and have the 3 v 3 Tournament and their annual alumni game on November 13th left in Fall Ball. UCSB will then start team strength and conditioning sessions along with individual workouts to get ready for their opening day of practice on January 10th.
