UCSB Holds off 6th Ranked Florida To Improve to 4-0

Santa Barbara, CA - UCSB beat the club from University of Florida 9-8 to improve to 4-0  with the win in their Saturday opener at the 22nd Annual Santa Barbara Shootout Sponsored by Brine. The Gauchos held a 7-2 halftime lead and staved off the comeback hopes of the 6th ranked Gators with a point blank save from sophomore Jeni Centner (Tustin, CA) in the waning moments of the game. UCSB transitioned the ball to the offensive end and held it for the last 45 seconds of the game to get the win.

The Gauchos face 12th ranked University of Texas in a 5:30pm contest on the UCSB Rob Field Turf.
