Gauchos Split With Mustangs
Santa Barbara, CA - The Gauchos and Cal Poly SLO each won a game in a double header on the turf at UCSB among the four teams in the two programs on Saturday of UCSB Family Weekend. In the first game UCSB Blue won 13-12 against Cal Poly Green after leading 7-5 at halftime. In the second game Cal Poly Gold led UCSB White 8-7 at halftime and broke the game open with a 10-7 second half to win 18-14. A few players played on both teams for both programs but the UCSB White and Cal Poly Gold rosters were where all the returning 'A' Team players for both programs fit into the mix of evaluations by both program coaching staffs.
