'A' Team Gets BYE Weekend, 'B' Team Takes on UC Irvine Sunday
Santa Barbara, CA - The OC Showcase event the UCSB 'A' Team was planning to attend has been cancelled due to facility issues related to recent weather. The Gauchos get a BYE Weekend in their schedule and will immediately start preparing for their home opener with Michigan. Fourth ranked UCSB hosts the the 6th ranked Wolverines in a 6pm matchup in Harder Stadium on Friday, February 13th. The UCSB 'B' Team plays at UC Irvine on Sunday in their second game of the season. Some initial confusion about facility availability at UC Irvine momentarily had the game moved to the turf at UCSB but it is now back on as originally schheduled for a 1pm start at UC Irvine. The UCSB 'B' Team is 1-0 after a 12-6 win over Occidental College last weekend. The 'C' Team is playing their opener. UC Irvine is also 1-0 after beating USC 'B' 8-5 in their opener.
