UCSB Withdraws from Hawaii Tournament
Santa Barbara, CA - UCSB has withdrawn from the Hawaii Lacrosse Tournament in a decision made today by head coach Paul Ramsey. "We're not going to Hawaii this year because air fare has held steady at a price we can't afford," said Ramsey. "I've gone to this event for five years in a row and normally a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu is about $125 less than right now," continued Ramsey. The tournament director asked Ramsey to make a decision by Friday but Ramsey decided to pull the plug now rather than wait another day and inconvenience everyone further. UCSB has two options to choose from for events taking place in California the same weekend, October 25th & 26th. The team will make a decision next week where it's going for a replacement tournament.
