Santa Barbara, CA - UCSB and SBCC players combined to form the Gold Hands team at the Second Annual UCSB 3 v. 3 Tournament and won the championship. It was a defense of sorts of the 2006 championship with a change of team name from when some of the same team members were called Silver Hands. Captained by UCSB tri-captain Katie Moran Gold hands boasted a roster with the other two UCSB captains Kristen Dickey and Kristyn Gherardi while also utlizing UCSB freshman Ashley Antoon-Algieri and SBCC sophomore Kiersten Nagata to round out the roster. Gold Hands defeated a TriCheck team with Jess Bromall, Emily Frey, Diana Garcia, Andrea Poetzsch and Katie Wolfson 7-2.

Twelve teams participated in the tournament on a foggy then sunny then foggy and sunny again Saturday at the UCSB Lacrosse Field (aka The Pit). Gold Hands finished preliminary play 6-1 with their lone loss coming at the unpainted hands of Tricheck. However, it was not all Gold Hands and Tricheck at the tournament. Team Saucy, another UCSB entrant, handed Tricheck a loss in the first game of the day. Saucy (
Kathleen Cardoza, Selina Eadie, Alexandra Perrone, Francesca Perrone and Monora Seth) later lost to Gold Hands. Then in the final preliminary game before the championship game entrants were announced both Saucy and Tricheck suffered through ties with different opponents. With the 3 points for a win and 1 point for a tie scoring system Gold Hands was alone at the top while Tricheck and Saucy were tied for second. Goal differential broke the tie in the standings and put Tricheck in the final with Gold Hands.

The UCSB Fall Ball Squad finishes 2007 with a game against the UCSB Alumni on Saturday, November 10th, at 3:00pm at the UCSB Lacrosse Field.
