UCSB White Falls To Cal Poly Gold But Gained Experience In A Fall Ball ScrimmageOct. 23, 2015 Santa Barbara, CA – The UCSB White team may have fallen but gained invaluable experience in a scrimmage against Cal Poly Gold on Friday night. The Gauchos played in their first competition of the year with a first half lead of 3-2, and the ultimate score of 3-12 in a 22-minute running halves game. The scrimmage as part of a double header with the UCSB Blue team at the UCSB Recreation Center Sports Complex . UCSB White used all players including 6 athletes new to the sport. First year UCSB B Team Coach Anne Hersman, "It was a great opportunity for the team to experience competition and give motivation to continue to improve for the remainder of the fall. The athletes were able to understand each other’s strengths and begin to brainstorm ways to become a stronger team. All players showed sportsmanship and heart while out on the field."
