Details:

Short burst activity at speed (repeated anaerobic exercise with some recovery time).  Could be intervals, could be uphill repeats, could be bleacher repeats in a stadium.  It should absolutely not be a long slow run. Your heart rate should get to 90% of maximum and then recover.  Repeat.
