Andrea Poetzsch ('06) returns for her second year coaching at UCSB as head coach of the program's "B" Team. Poetzsch began coaching at UCSB as co-coach of the "B" Team with
Katie Wolfson ('06) in 2006-07 under former head coach Diana Garcia. Andrea also traveled to
the USL WDIA National Tournament in Denver, CO as an assistant coach for the "A" Team at the end of the 2007 season.
 Poetzsch was a UCSB attacker for four
years and participated in the post-season three times on Gaucho squads that played at Nationals in St.
Louis, MO in 2004, Blaine, MN, in 2005 and Dallas, TX in 2006. Andrea started her lacrosse career at Acalanes High School her senior year, which was the first
year the high schools in the East Bay started offering the sport. Poetzsch continues to actively play whenever coaching allows for it, including at the UCSB 3 v. 3 Tournament and with Tricheck Lacrosse Club, a post-collegiate team.
