The Bruins faced two tough Central conference rivals in #14 USC and #10 Cal Poly SLO this weekend.  The Bruins fell behind early against the Trojans 7-2 in the first 15 minutes of the game.  After a slow start, the Bruins were able to control the draw and close the USC lead to 10-8 at half.  UCLA came out fast from the break, tying the game 10-10 in the first 3 minutes.  However, the inability to control the draw hurt the Bruins again, allowing USC to go on a 7-0 run.  This time, the Bruins were unable to mount another comeback and close the gap.  The game ended with a final score of 22-15. Junior Courtney Randall tallied 6 points on 3 for 3 shooting to go along with 3 assists and 4 draw controls on the day.

The Bruins again fell behind early on Senior Day against Cal Poly SLO, digging a 13-2 hole at the half.  The Mustangs put the game out of reach with a final score of 19-7.  Seniors Margaret Nettleton and Joanna Chen both had great games on a day celebrating their careers at UCLA.  Nettleton, a consistent performer throughout the season, netted 4 goals and grabbed 5 draw controls. Chen nabbed 3 draw controls and had a strong individual performance on the defensive end.

Congratulations to all of the seniors on their incredible lacrosse careers at UCLA: Margaret Nettleton, Joanna Chen, and Alex Jaksha!

The Bruins will spend the week preparing for WWLL Championships in Santa Barbara.  Congratulations also goes out to the UCLA 'B' team, who qualified for the WWLL 'B' Division tournament.
