Bruins Hire Paige Lin As New Head CoachDec. 28, 2012 Paige Lin is a recent graduate of American University in Washington, DC where she was a four-year starter and earned a B.S. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies/Exercise Science. She played in all 66 games in her career, contributing immediately as a freshman and starting in 60 games. She was a consistent force on the field, helping to anchor a strong midfield unit for AU. Lin was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll every season, as well as the Academic All-Patriot League team her junior and senior seasons. Lin helped lead the Eagles in earning the nation’s top GPA for two consecutive years, while also being named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll twice. In her senior season, she was honored with the "Heart of an Eagle" award by teammates for embodiment of the motto of AU athletics: "Win, Learn, Lead". Lin, a California native, grew up in Palo Alto and attended Henry M. Gunn High School, where she ran cross country and played basketball and lacrosse. Throughout her undergraduate years at AU, she remained involved in the lacrosse community, working as a Senior Coach and Assistant Director of Operations for Bay Area WAVE - a travel high school club team based in the Bay Area. Lin has experience coaching at Stanford and Coast to Coast Lacrosse camps over the past four years. She was selected as a participant in Project IRM and the NCAA Career in Sports Forum, both programs sponsored to aid in the professional development of women's lacrosse coaches. She is currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Biokinesiology at USC.
