PhotobucketThe Bruins are excited to welcome Mara Ludmer and Sam Slama as the newest additions to the 2011-2012 coaching staff. The co-coaches will replace former B Team head coach, Kate Fleming, who recently moved abroad.

Mara played for UCLA's B Team for three years and is excited to start her first year of coaching. Mara plans to graduate from UCLA in the winter of 2011 with a BA in anthropology and a minor in environmental systems and society.

This fall will mark Sam's fourth year involved in UCLA Women's Lacrosse. She played for the B team as a freshman and captained the team as a sophomore, leading the division in points in 2010. In the 2011 season, she played midfield and attack for UCLA's A team. Sam has been awarded Academic All-American all three years playing at UCLA. She plans to graduate from UCLA at the end of December with a major in Psychology and a minor in Linguistics.

Mara is a California native who began her lacrosse career in Orinda at Miramonte High School, while Sam hails from Arizona, where she played her first lacrosse at Desert Vista High School in Phoenix. They are thrilled to continue their involvement with UCLA Women's Lacrosse as the coaches of the 2011-2012 UCLA B Team.
