Kalyn Olson will begin her third year as 'A' Team Assistant Coach in the fall of 2011. Kalyn joined the UCLA coaching staff in 2009, after a year as Varsity Assistant Coach at Beverly Hills High School. A former Bruin, Kalyn was 1st Team WWLL in 2006 and 2007, captain and WCLA All-American midfielder in 2007. She graduated in 2007 with a degree in Art History and Economics/International Area Studies. A native of Southern California, Kalyn played lacrosse at La Jolla High School in San Diego. She was a four-year Varsity starter at center and played for Pacific Select at the National Tournament in 2001. In her senior year, she was captain of the team, founded and coached the first girl's lacrosse team at Muirlands Middle School, was named CIF 1st Team, and All-American Honorable Mention 2003.
