With a strong knowledge of college lacrosse in Texas, Chris Park takes the helm in his third season as the Bobcats head coach. At Texas State, he is responsible for preparing the program to compete annually for a Lone Star Alliance Championship, as well as elevate the program on a national level.

Park joins Texas State with four years of coaching experience from Texas A&M, where he assisted head coach Tony Scazzero with the midfielders, man-down defensive unit, recruiting, and day to day operational duties.

As a player, the Fort Worth native played four years at Texas A&M, helping the team reach the USL-MDIA National Tournament each of his four years on the squad. He was a captain and a Lone Star Alliance All-Conference selection at midfield for both the 2002 and 2003 season. Park was a member of the most prolific senior class in Texas A&M Lacrosse history that amassed 56 straight conference wins over their four years. During the 2001-2002 season, Chris served as team president.

Park received his undergraduate degree in Business from Texas A&M in 2002 and his Masters of Science in Kinesiology in 2004. Following his work as a Graduate Assistant in the Texas A&M Athletic Department he took a position with Sam Houston State University as their first Athletic Development/Marketing Coordinator. In July of 2006, he was hired by Texas State as an Assistant Athletics Director for Development, and Executive Director of the Bobcat Club Athletic Foundation.

As a player, Park is still actively involved in the game with Team Viva Lacrosse and on a national level with the MCLA as the radio color analyst for the Championship Weekend web casts.

Park currently resides in San Marcos, TX, and can be reached at cpark@txstate.edu

"It's a great day to be a Bobcat, and an American."
