
Bobcats Gain Valuable Experience in Spring Break Trip to Rhode Island - Mar 22, 2013 
Providence Rhode Island - The 2013 Texas State men's lacrosse team recently travelled to Providence Rhode Island to take on Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League teams UConn and Northeastern. Althought the results (11-4 vs UConn and 6-5 vs Northeastern) were not what the Bobcats had hoped, the trip was fruitful. The team was able to watch NCAA D1 teams from Bryant and Brown practice and they were also able to take in the Brown Harvard game on Saturday night.
On the field the team was led by Junior captain goalie Will Laurel who notched an assist vs UConn and and amazing 20 saves vs Northeastern.
The team gets right back to the field as they take on LSU in an important Lone Star Alliance South matchup on Friday March 22nd at 7pm in San Marcos. The game is also our senior night as we honor graduating players Harrison Parr, Jake LeGrand, Trevor Baum Kenneth Raney and Clark Dansby. Bobcats Sweep LSA North Metroplex Teams - Feb 28, 2013 Dallas/Fort Worth Texas - The Texas State men’s lacrosse team travelled north to Dallas and Ft. Worth over the weekend and dispatched both SMU 10-6 and TCU 13-3.

more [+] Texas State Lacrosse Races to 3-0 Start With Victory Over Texas A&M - Feb 11, 2013 College Station - A great display of teamwork was put on by the Bobcats as they bolted to a 20-5 victory over the Aggies of Texas A&M Saturday night. On the defensive end the Bobcats held the Aggies scoreless and shotless in the first quarter. They were led by gameball winner, sophomore Patrick Franklin who finished with a team high eight ground balls.

The offensive output was spread between thirteen players who recorded points. Leading the way was senior midfielder Clark Dansby, sophomore attackmen Andreas Soto and junior attackman Andy Uhl who all notched five points on the day.

Bobcats Continue Winning Ways Against UL Lafayette - Feb 3, 2013 San Marcos - The Texas State men's lacrosse team improved to 2-0(1-0 LSA South) with a 16-5 victory over conference newcomer UL Lafayette. On another perfect weather day, the Bobcats raced to a 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and 9-1 at the half.
Leading the Bobcats in scoring was newcomer Dom Pizzuti with six goals and senior midfielder Harrison Parr was right behind him with a balanced two goals and two assists. Once again Mack Starnes dominated the faceoff X winning 16 of 19 draws. Sophomore Patrick Franklin lead the defensemen with five ground balls while all three goalies, Will Laurel, Michael Rodgers and Nick Villareal made seven saves and only let in five goals.

Bobcats Open Season With Convincing Win Over Baylor - Jan 28, 2013 
San Marcos - The 2013 version of the Texas State lacrosse team started of this year's campaign with a bang, not only with the 15-3 victory over the Bears but aslo with their first goal, coming on the first possesion of the game 40 seconds in. Junior midfielder Keith Bon found fellow junior Andy Uhl tucked behind two defenders and the 2012 LSA Offensive Player of the Year, Uhl caught the pass and in one fluid motion put the Bobcats up 1-0.

Bobcats Hold Successful Alumni Game and Golf Tournament - Nov 25, 2012 SAN MARCOS - The 2012 Texas State lacrosse alumni game was a great success on and off the field. Members from every era of Bobcat lacrosse came back to San Marcos to take on the current team. The next day, the revitalized golf fundraiser was held at Quail Ridge Golf Club on a perfect day. For new heac coach Michael Brand it was great to gain perspective on the program, "For our guys to meet and talk with the men who started this club is great for them to see how well they have it now. Also, it was great to me to learn about where this team came from in order to get us where we are going."
