Better Know a Tech Player - Mason HebertDec. 14, 2009 Written By Cole Moore
As an effort to let our fans know more about our team, this is the first in a series of articles over members of the Texas Tech lacrosse team. Up first is Mason Herbert. Mason has been a mainstay on the midfield for the Red Raiders since arriving in Lubbock. Last season saw Mason play on the second line midfield, run man down defense as well as take the occasional face off. This season he looks to increase his offensive game while maintaing his prowess with facing off and defense.
Mason comes to the scenic shores of Lubbock, TX after an illustrous career at Memorial where his team recorded wins over such powerhouse teams as Cinco Ranch, Fort Bend and the always dangerous Bellaire. Mason himself was a leader on and off the field, running the team through the attack and midfield. After recording post season honors his junior and senior years Mason realized if he came to college he would have to buy a new helment.
As follows, I've included a little pro/con list of Mason as a player, and general person with a short list of his favorites so everyone knows a bit more about this "talented" midfielder.
