The 3rd Annual SOU Lacrosse Alumni Game was held this past Saturday.

The Alumni team started the game with a self imposed Man Down situation to remember #43 Scott Charlson, a former SOU Lax player who died on 8/5/2008 in a helicopter crash fighting fires in Northern California.  SOU Lax will never forget Scotty nor will anyone wear the #43 again for SOU Lax.

The Alumni team dominated the first quarter with long offensive possessions outscoring the current team 5-0.  The Alumni were led by an All-Star cast including SOU's All-Time Leading Scorer Alex White, SOU's most dominant player, only professional player, and current coach Jameson Whitehead, and our God Father Kyle Chrisman.

The Alumni Defense included 3 PNCLL Defensive Player of the Year Award winners in Dan Snell, Carter Boggess, and Joey Moseanko. The Alumni Defense also had 3 MCLA All-America Players including current coach Jack Pfeiffer.  Add in LAPD's finest Jack Thompson and the young Raiders couldn't get anything going on the offensive end in the first half.

The score going into halftime was 6-0 in favor of the Alumni.

The 2nd half was much more balanced as the current team outscored the Alumni 4-3 to make the final 9-4 in favor of the Alumni.

Congrats to the Alumni for winning their first game vs. the current team in 3 tries.

Thanks to all of the Alumni that came back to Ashland to make this event possible!!! An extra big THANKS to founder Kyle Chrisman for organizing the event, and Ryan Whitely who came all the way from Florida.

Can't wait until next years Alumni Weekend!!!
