SOU Improves to 4-1
SOU Defeated San Jose St. Univ. Saturday at the Redding Lacrosse Jamboree 9-1. SOU capped off the 2nd annual Redding Jamboree which featured 45 games over 3 days. SOU took on SJSU to headline the event for the 2nd year in a row at 7pm on Saturday night. SOU started the game with a 2 min. non-releasable penalty during the opening face-off. SOU was man down 7 times in the game and did not allow one goal including 2 times which SOU was down 2 men. The end of the first qt. found both teams scoreless. SOU scored twice in the 2nd qt. to lead 2-0 at the half. SOU scored 3 times in the first 4 minutes of the 3rd qt. to break the game open with a 5-0 lead. At the end of the game SOU had won 9-1. SOU was led by their Fresh man Goalie Killian Spicer-Torreblanca who earned the game ball. Fellow Freshman Attack #18 AJ Chase led the Raiders scoring 3 goals and adding 3 assists. The best moment of the weekend for the Raiders came after the game when the players were swarmed by youth players asking for the Raiders to give them autographs. Next up for the Raiders are the Portland Pilots on 3/3 at 1pm at U of P. Thanks to everyone involved in Redding for hosting this Jamboree. It was a great weekend of Lax!!
