Two Raiders Earn All-America Honors
The MCLA announced the 2011 D2 All-America Award winners and two Raiders received honors. Sr. Captain #18 Jack Pfeiffer earned Honorable Mention All-America for Defense. During his four years playing for SOU Jack was a three year starter at close defense. The only year he did not start was as a Freshman when he played LSM for SOU. Jack was a leader both in practice and games. Jack was frequently lined up against our opponents best player and he did an amazing job over the years. Jack earned 2nd team All-PNCLL as both a Sophmore and as a Junior for close defense. This year he earned 1st team All PNCLL for Defense. Sr. Captain #7 Carter Boggess also received Honorable Mention All-America for his Goalie play. Carter was SOU's starting goalie for his entire 4 season career. Carter was named the 2010 Defensive MVP for the PNCLL and 1st Team Goalie. Carter will leave SOU holding the records for all time save %, most saves in a game, and most total saves for a career. Carter will also be back next year to be SOU's Goalie Coach. Congrats to both of you!! You deserve it!
