SOU at Davis Recap
The SOU Men's Lacrosse team travelled to Davis, CA to play in three scrimmages on Saturday. SOU took on the University of Nevada for our first scrimmage of the day. The first half was a defensive battle w/ many missed opportunities by both sides leading to a 0-0 score. During the 2nd half the action picked up w/ Nevada scoring 3 goals to take a 3-0 lead. SOU answered w/ goals by Justin Cooper, Joey Moseanko and Pat Verdun to tie the game at 3. Cooper scored two more for SOU to secure the win 5-3. In the 2nd scrimmage of the day SOU took on Chico St. University. SOU jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Moseanko less than one minute into the game. Chico would answer w/ three goals followed by one more from SOU to make the score 3-2 Chico at the half. The 2nd half was controlled by Chico to win the contest by 4. SOU finished up the day playing Diablo Valley. Our lack of numbers showed greatly in the 3rd scrimmage as Diablo was able to win 7-1 controlling most every aspect of the game. Thanks to Davis for hosting, it was fun. SOU head to Willamette to wrap up our Fall Ball vs. PLU and Willamette.
