SOU Takes Down UC-Irvine in First-Ever MeetingMar. 27, 2018 Morgan Hill,CA- The SOU Raiders defeated UC-Irvine by the score of 21-19 Tuesday afternoon in the 2nd game of the Raiders 2018 Spring Break Trip. In a game where neither defense played very well the fans were the victors as 40 goals were scored in an up-and-down battle. SOU was paced by the Attack unit as each of the starters put in 5 goals for 15 of the Raiders 21 on the day. Freshman #11 Spencer Burch led the team with 11 points total as he handed out 6 assists to go with his 5 goals. Freshman #19 Colin Frank led the Midfielders with 3 goals and 1 assist for SOU. Freshman Goalie #24 Cameron Saechao followed up his SOU record 31 save performance with 20 saves against the Anteaters from UC-Irvine. Sophomore Midfield #7 Jacob Kritzer, who moved to LSM after #13 Alec Ponce tore his ACL in practice last week, earned the game ball for his effort, 2 gb's and 1 assist. SOU will wrap up their Spring Break Trip against the Tritons from UC-San Diego on Thursday.
